hi
i am having a problem with my Wersi OAX 800 organ. It is less than 3 years old and i am the original owner.
over a month ago the touch screen stopped working and i can’t play the organ.
i contacted tech support in Germany. and they confirmed it’s not working and couldn’t correct the problem. They think the motherboard needs to be replaced.
but i haven’t heard back from them in over a month, and they don’t respond to my e-mails.
is this normal for Wersi tech support?
i live in the USA and bought my organ from Ralph Conti, but not sure he is still selling organs?
any thoughts?
thanks
mike
I know of three customers in the US that have had issues with the touch screens on OAX800. I am one of the customers, my instrument is actually an upgrade from OAS Scala to Sonic 800. My touch screen started to act up about 5 months after delivery. I would see “Searching for HDMI” on the screen and then it would go blank. I replaced the HDMI cable and sprayed the contacts of the new cable with Deoxit contact cleaner and all has been well since then. The second customer had a similar issue and replaced the HDMI cable and all is working fine. The third customer had to replace the touch screen. Wersi shipped him a new display and he installed it himself.
This means that Wersi (Music Store) depends on the hardware supplychain of Wersi Hochrhein to some extend!
btw…
I can remember the d.i.y. upgrade of my KS1 Abacus. I replaced the 7″ display by a 10″ display. To avoid any compatibility problems I bought the display at Wersi Hochrhein. But at that time they were out of stock and I had to wait some weeks. Wersi Hochhrein wasn´t to blame for that.
And it wasn´t a problem at all. It´s about 80 kilometeres from where I live to Wersi Hochrhein.
update on touch screen. after working with wersi support. they have narrowed it down to touch screen not working and needs to be replaced. but production doesn’t get back to me to help get it fixed. waiting over 2 weeks, and no response. does anyone know how to get a hold of support/production when they don’t respond
thanks
